About the role

Sleep Country has built an omnichannel platform behind some of Canada's most recognized sleep brands - Endy, Silk & Snow, Casper Canada, and Hush. Each was built digital-first, customer-obsessed, and unafraid to challenge a sleepy category.

We've brought them together to compete at a scale, across every channel, every price point, and every Canadian household. We come from a culture of scrappy energy and comfort with ambiguity that built each of these brands, but we're now layering on the systems, discipline, and operating rigor of a serious enterprise. That combination is what makes this an interesting place to work. We're past the stage of figuring it out for the first time and we're building something meant to last.

The people who do well here are operators, who want a short line between their work and the business results. They want to be measured on outcomes, not optics. And they want to be in a place where merit is what gets rewarded.

Silk & Snow is seeking a Manager, Supply & Inbound Operations, who will be responsible for the global movement of goods from the factory floor to the warehouse. This role focuses on optimizing international shipping costs, ensuring vendor compliance with production timelines, and managing the end-to-end customs clearance process. You will be the primary liaison between factories, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure a seamless and cost-effective supply chain.

  • Manage demurrage and detention exposure proactively resulting in minimized charges and meeting predetermined targets, in partnership with the Director, Supply Chain

Customs, Compliance & Documentation

  • Oversee the collection of all essential shipping documents from factories, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and Bills of Lading
  • Own end-to-end customs clearance for both CBSA (Canada) and CBP (US) imports
  • Verify the accuracy of all customs entries, including HTS code classification, valuation, and duty/tax calculations
  • Ensure all imports comply with local and international trade regulations and maintain records for government audit purposes

Performance & Cost Reporting

  • Track and report on key metrics including Transit Time Variance, Freight Cost as a % of COGS, and Vendor On-Time Shipping
  • Provide accurate landed cost data for inventory valuation and margin analysis in collaboration with the Finance Team

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Supply Chain Analysts while fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
  • Facilitate weekly 1:1s with Direct Reports to provide high quality performance feedback, ensure clarity around tasks and priorities, provide guidance in order to strengthen team capabilities and achieve targets
  • Foster a strong culture of collaboration and teamwork actively removing roadblocks and proactively developing the team to be highly cross functional.
  • Build the inbound operating cadence for KPI reviews, exception management, and escalation paths
