YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

The Mill Operator (Refiner Helper) is part of a team that produce Gold by crushing, grinding, extraction (gravity and/or chemical) and smelting. This role is to achieve / improve on set targets by maximising throughput, recovery and production. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

• Competency in Basic Mill Common core and working toward other modules as required;

• Assist and learn refinery duties;

• Ensure all prestart checks are completed and regular plant checks are performed;

• Eye wash station checks;

• PPE counts and creates reservations and stock PPE;

• Accuracy in reporting of process data in relevant documents (e.g. excel);

• Ensure house keeping is maintained at a high standard;

• Adhere to Mill Operation standards;

• Ensure all required sampling is completed and recorded appropriately;

• Capacity and willingness to work in Crushing, Grinding or elution circuit;

• Other duties as prescribed.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• Literacy and numeracy to meet role;

• Aptitude or experience consistent with industrial setting;

• Mechanically minded appreciating operations within acceptable parameters and ability to note subtle differences;

• Team focussed, work independently and with others.

Your Work Schedule:

• Schedule: 4/3 schedule, dayshift only, at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.

Compensation Statement

In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.
