About the role

Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Work setting: Metal products manufacturing company. Tasks: Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other materials from surfaces of metal products. Transport items throughout plant using powered equipment. Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually . Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools. Clean machines and immediate work areas. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand truck. Lifting device. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods.
