Your New Role
This position sits at the intersection of Technical Services and Operations. The Mine Technician plays a key role in ensuring that short-term execution aligns with the broader mine plan. You’ll work closely with underground operations leadership and planning teams to translate technical plans into practical daily and weekly activities. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll be in the detail of production and development, while also influencing how plans are built and adjusted.
Act as a liaison between Technical Services and Underground Operations, ensuring alignment on priorities and deliverables Support execution of the weekly, monthly, and rolling 3-month mine plan Translate medium- and long-term plans into clear, actionable activities for operations teams Work closely with supervisors and frontline leaders to ensure plans are understood and achievable Monitor performance against plan, flagging variances and supporting adjustments Contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly planning meetings
What you'll need to Succeed
Degree in Mining Engineering or similar 3–7 years of underground hard rock mining experience Exposure to production and/or development environments underground Experience with short-term planning, mine design, or drill & blast Strong understanding of underground mining methods and sequencing Comfortable working between technical and operations teams Experience with Deswik, Datamine, or similar software is an asset Strong communication skills and a practical, problem-solving mindset
