Position Overview:
The Marker Maker is responsible for the creation and distribution of markers for Canada Goose. This position is accountable for creating markers with the Gerber Accumark System to achieve the best material utilization possible. Markers are tailored to specific purchase orders and to the cutting room standards of individual vendors.
What You'll Do:
- Creating and updating sample and production markers using the Gerber Accumark system
- Creating markers for best material utilization while respecting pattern and fabric quality boundaries
- Plotting and/or preparing electronic files for individual vendors/POs according to the timelines on the Marker Production Schedule
- Calculating yields for costing and material ordering purposes and documenting the savings
- Maintenance of plotters and tracking of plotters’ utilization
About You:
- College Degree or Diploma in apparel design and manufacturing
- 2-3 years’ experience in marker making
- 2-3 years’ experience using Gerber Accumark, experience with other CAD systems an asset
- 2-3 years’ experience working with cutting rooms; familiarity with both auto and manual cutting
- Knowledge of pattern making & sewing is mandatory
- Experience with outerwear garments is an asset
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
- Team player
- Ability to multi-task
- Effective communication & interpersonal skills required to build relationships across the business

Salary Range:
$46,000.00 - $64,000.00 / year
