Plumbing/Fire Sprinkler Designer (Residential Building)

London, Ontario, Canada
CA$65,000 - CA$85,000/year
Mid Level
Full-Time

About the role

Job Title: Plumbing/Fire Sprinkler Mechanical Technologist – Residential Design (Private Projects)

Location: KWG area

Salary: 65k - 85k (Based on Experience)

If you’re the kind of person who enjoys a good sports debate at lunch, wants to be part of collaborative environment, thrives in a fast-paced team environment, and actually likes seeing projects go from sketch to reality, this one will feel like home.

We’re working with a consulting engineering team that focuses exclusively on private residential projects - custom homes, boutique developments, and detailed residential builds where precision and design quality actually matter.

This isn’t a “sit in a corner and draft forever” kind of role. You’ll be hands-on in plumbing and mechanical systems design, working in Revit, and involved in projects from concept all the way through to construction. Expect real collaboration, real responsibility, and real impact on how things get built.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

Designing plumbing and fire sprinkler systems for private residential builds Working in Revit from early design through to final coordination Getting involved in full project cycles (not just isolated tasks) Coordinating with engineers, designers, and project teams Contributing ideas — not just executing them Seeing your work actually get built (and not just disappear into a PDF archive)

The Vibe

This is a high-energy, team-first environment where people actually enjoy working together.

Sports talk in the office (Let's talk hockey politics!) Collaborative energy, not siloed cubicles A place where you can learn, grow, and be trusted with real responsibility A team that values personality just as much as technical skill

Who this would suit? Someone who:

Likes residential design work (and cares about the details) Experience in plumbing and fire sprinkler/fire protection design within a consulting engineering background Enjoys Revit and being hands-on in technical design Wants to grow their career in a supportive but fast-moving environment Thrives in a social, team-oriented workplace Doesn’t mind a bit of friendly sports banter, getting together for a little competitive basketball game, or going to the Scotiabank Arena for a live game.

If you’re looking for a role where you can build real things, grow your technical skills, and be part of a team that actually enjoys what they do - this could be a great next step.
