Job Description The Senior Estimator is responsible for leading the preparation, review, and analysis of project cost estimates to support competitive, accurate, and profitable proposals. This role collaborates closely with Operations, Project Controls, and executive leadership to evaluate scope requirements, develop pricing strategies, assess risk, and ensure alignment with execution plans. The Senior Estimator plays a critical role in driving project success by delivering comprehensive cost analyses, performing detailed quantity take-offs, and contributing to budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor evaluations to strengthen overall bid quality and performance outcomes. What would you be doing? Review proposal specifications, drawings, and estimates to determine scope and requirements. Provide input on estimating strategies, including profitability, risk management, and execution. Consult with Operations to ensure accurate labour, equipment, and material pricing. Perform quantity take-offs for structural, mechanical, and civil components. Assist with work breakdown structures, schedules, subcontract analysis, and budget updates. Growing company with opportunities for career development and advancement Qualifications Strong knowledge of cost estimating processes, construction methodology, and project management functions. Ability to review and interpret construction drawings (P&ID, Ortho’s, Iso’s) and maintain accurate documentation. Excellent leadership, teamwork, organizational, and analytical skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Proficiency in estimating software, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Minimum 8 years of estimating experience in piping, structural, civil, and pipeline, with an engineering degree or technical diploma.
