Job Description The industrial mechanic will be responsible for the preventive maintenance and repair of machinery and electrical equipment. Role and responsibilities Performs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems work. Ensure preventive maintenance of equipment and be able to make diagnostics. Dismantle/assemble, repair, replace, modify, calibrate and/or adjust mechanisms specific to various machines. Testing and checking the mechanical condition of motors (AC/DC/three phase), switchgear and other electrical equipment using test and measurement equipment. Demonstrate a proactive commitment to quality by strictly following work instructions, proactively prevent quality issues and promptly inform your supervisor of any issue found. Actively promote, follow, and take responsibility for health and safety practices in all aspects of the role All other related tasks are considered part of the role and may be assigned as needed. Knowledge and Skill Requirements Professional or college diploma (DEC) in industrial mechanic. Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the field. Ability to read technical drawings Technical problem-solving skills Ability to work in a group Ability to adapt quickly to different situations Positive attitude Ability to lift and push 50 pounds, 50 times per day. Manual dexterity and attention to detail Knowledge of the VKS system – an asset Being autonomous and have a sense of initiative. Master the French and English language (subcontractors from the United States).
