Senior Analytics Engineer Location: Toronto, ON, Canada Employment Type: Full-Time
We are hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer for one of our leading Sports & Entertainment clients. This role is ideal for experienced Data Engineers with strong AWS cloud expertise who enjoy building secure, scalable, and enterprise-grade data platforms.
Key Responsibilities Design and develop scalable batch and real-time data pipelines on AWS. Build and optimize ETL/ELT solutions using Python (PySpark) and SQL. Develop data models (Star Schema, Snowflake, SCD, Data Vault) for analytics. Work with AWS services including Glue, S3, Redshift, Athena, Lambda, EMR, Kinesis, and QuickSight. Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK. Build CI/CD pipelines for data engineering solutions. Ensure data security, governance, and compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2, and CCPA. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure data solutions.
Required Skills 7+ years of Analytics/Data Engineering experience. Strong expertise in SQL and Python (PySpark). Hands-on experience with AWS data engineering services. Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing. Knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK. Experience with CI/CD pipelines. Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Data Analytics, Security Specialty). Experience with dbt, Great Expectations, or Monte Carlo. Experience in Healthcare, Financial Services, or other regulated industries.
