With offices across Canada, our expertise in sustainable design and technical innovation drives impactful projects from coast to coast. Joining BPA means putting your talent to work on meaningful projects, collaborating with recognized experts, and growing in a flexible, people-focused and forward-thinking environment.

Become a technical reference in building energy performance.

Are you passionate about energy simulation, building performance, and sustainable optimization strategies?

We are looking for a Technical Expert in Energy Simulation to serve as a key technical reference within our Sustainability team and contribute to complex, high-impact projects across Canada.

This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong, autonomous professional who wants to drive meaningful impact through expertise rather than a traditional project management role.

Your Impact

  • Perform advanced energy simulations and building performance analyses
  • Develop, interpret, and challenge energy models and energy balance calculations
  • Identify and recommend practical energy optimization strategies
  • Contribute to the analysis, design, and improvement of building systems
  • Support technically complex projects across Canada

Technical Leadership

  • Act as the internal subject matter expert for energy simulation and building performance
  • Advise multidisciplinary project teams on best practices and technical approaches
  • Support the continuous improvement of methodologies, tools, and technical standards
  • Ensure the technical quality of analyses and deliverables
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and technical development within the team

Project Collaboration

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project execution
  • Support client discussions with a technical, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Contribute to technical planning and delivery of mandates

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Master’s degree in Sustainable Development, an asset.
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or eligible for membership.
  • Strong experience in energy simulation and building performance analysis.
  • Advanced French; English required to collaborate across Canada.*
  • Proficiency with building energy simulation software such as eQuest, IESVE, EnergyPlus, and Microsoft Office 365 is considered an asset, but is not a prerequisite for the role.
  • Strong technical autonomy.
  • Ability to serve as a technical reference and subject matter expert.
  • Experience in a consulting engineering environment or a similar setting.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • English is essential due to participation in commercial projects outside Quebec and in national projects where all meetings and documentation are exclusively in English.

Why Join Us?

  • A highly technical role with meaningful impact
  • Complex and stimulating building performance projects
  • Strong professional autonomy
  • A collaborative environment where your expertise will make a real difference
  • Flexible location depending on profile
