Maintenance - Millwright Apprentice

Job description:
Sofina Foods in Hanover, Ontario is seeking a Millwright, either Apprentice or Licensed, to join their Maintenance department on the night shift.

MAIN DUTIES

• Teardown and setup production equipment as needed, includes completing changeovers as per production schedule.
• Troubleshoot and solve various mechanical issues as they arise.
• Provide support to other maintenance staff including Electricians and Power Engineers.
• Perform regular routines without direct supervision. Advise Production or Maintenance Manager of any issues that could impact production.
• Act as an advisor to Machine Operators if non-mechanical issues occur.
• Complete Preventative and Predictive Maintenance tasks as per the company’s extensive PM Program.

QUALIFICATIONS

• If licensed, must have 433A license
• Experience with fabrication
• Experience in the installation and repair of machines and equipment is an asset
• Experience in stainless steel fabrications and repair will be an asset
• Competent communication skills, both oral and written
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Ability to work after-hours tasks and with minimum supervision

REGULAR HOURS OF WORK

• Night shift (10:00pm to 6:00am)
• Paid 30 min lunch

COMPENSATION

• Apprentice: $35.64/hour (33.79/hour + 0.60/hour shift premium + $1.25/hour weekly attendance incentive)
• Licensed: $42.76/hour ($40.91/hour + $0.60/hour shift premium + $1.25/hour weekly attendance incentive)
