About the role
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join a recognized company in the food industry. Under the supervision of the Quality Control Manager, the person in this role plays a key part in ensuring product quality, process compliance, and maintaining health and safety standards.
Main Responsibilities – Quality Control:
- Conduct pre-operational inspections.
- Monitor, verify, and calibrate measuring instruments.
- Perform various tests, including:
· SWAB
· ATP / luminotherapy
· Microbiology
· Cheese samples (finished or unfinished product)
- Send samples to external laboratories and compile the results.
- Ensure compliance with records and communicate any modifications.
- Perform complete traceability exercises.
- Develop, revise, and update the quality policy.
- Write non-conformity reports, procedures, work instructions, and action plans.
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement of processes and product quality.
- Train and raise awareness among employees on good hygiene and quality practices.
- Participate in obtaining, monitoring, and maintaining HACCP certification.
- Verify the quality of raw materials and monitor cleaning (sanitation) and hygiene procedures.
- Ensure constant compliance with hygiene measures and established standards.

Requirements:
- DEC in food processing, laboratory technology, or dietetics.
- Experience in dairy processing (an asset).
- Basic bilingualism (an asset).
- Attention to detail, meticulousness, and rigor.
- Good sense of urgency and ability to manage priorities.
- Strong observational skills and curiosity.
- Positive leadership and ability to influence best practices.
- Excellent ability to learn.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of food processing techniques (cheese).
Salary: $26 per hour.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Status: Temporary
