About the role
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Instruct apprentices. Utilize hand and power tools. Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards. Maintain clean and safe work environment. Repair or replace interior components. Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Carpenter Trade Certification. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Screening questions: Do you have experience working in this field?.
