Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mason role based in Richmond, BC. The Mason will construct, repair, and finish exterior architectural elements using materials such as stone, brick, cement, and related products supplied by DSG Mouldings. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and mixing materials, laying and aligning units, installing mouldings and wall systems, and ensuring work meets company specifications, safety standards, and local building codes. The role involves reading and interpreting drawings, measuring and cutting materials, and collaborating with installation crews, supervisors, and other trades on residential and commercial projects. The Mason will also assist with site preparation and clean-up, maintain tools and equipment, and help identify opportunities to improve installation methods and quality. Qualifications Strong skills in masonry, including experience working with exterior architectural elements and wall systems. Proficiency in cement work, including mixing, pouring, finishing, and repair of concrete and related materials. Experience with brickwork, including laying, cutting, aligning, and joint finishing for structural and decorative applications. Background in stonework, including setting, shaping, and finishing stone or stone-like products for facades and details. Renovation experience, particularly in repair, restoration, or retrofit of existing exterior façades and mouldings. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, measurements, and specifications. Knowledge of construction-site safety practices and willingness to follow all safety procedures and regulations. Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing, bending, and working outdoors in varied conditions. Effective teamwork and communication skills, with a reliable and punctual work ethic. Previous experience in exterior construction or architectural moulding installation is an asset; apprenticeship or trade certification in masonry or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
