About the role
This role focuses on conducting a comprehensive audit and optimization of two established skincare eCommerce websites built on WooCommerce, targeting customers in Germany and Europe. The primary objective is to increase sales by improving conversion rates and enhancing the overall user experience. Rather than a full redesign, the emphasis is on identifying and addressing key areas such as trust, credibility, navigation, mobile responsiveness, checkout process, website speed, and calls-to-action. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in WooCommerce conversion rate optimization and user experience improvements, with the ability to deliver measurable results. You will be expected to review the current websites, benchmark against industry-leading examples, and provide a clear, strategic approach to drive higher conversions while maintaining the unique brand identity of each site.
Deliverables
Conduct a detailed audit of both WooCommerce websites, focusing on CRO and UX best practices Identify and document issues affecting trust, credibility, navigation, and conversion rates Provide actionable recommendations for optimizing mobile responsiveness, checkout flow, and website speed Suggest improvements to calls-to-action, product presentation, and overall site usability Benchmark current sites against leading skincare eCommerce brands for inspiration and best practices Present a strategic plan outlining prioritized optimizations and expected impact on conversions Communicate findings and recommendations clearly, supporting a collaborative, long-term partnership
Requirements
Demonstrable expertise in WooCommerce, CRO, and eCommerce UX optimization Strong portfolio or case studies showing measurable improvements in conversion rates Deep understanding of eCommerce best practices, especially for skincare or consumer goods sectors Proficiency in website analytics, heatmaps, and user behavior analysis tools Ability to deliver clear, actionable recommendations tailored to unique brand identities Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach Availability for a single project with potential for ongoing work
