This position is open to all qualified OPSEU staff throughout Lakeridge Health commencing 23 June 2026 and closing at 11:59 pm on 30 June 2026.

Duties And Responsibilities

Reporting to Manager of Laboratory, the Registered Technologist will be responsible for processing lab specimens, testing, updating patient records, documentation of procedures and test results, maintenance and stocking supplies for work area. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

CMLTO Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist - practicing designation in good standing ; Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform all laboratory functions in a busy acute care hospital, including Haematology, Immunohematology and Chemistry; Evidence of sound organizational with prioritizing skills and the ability to work well in stressful multidisciplinary environment; Excellent interpersonal, communication and documentation skills with the ability to work well with patients, families, all levels of staff and the community; Ability to physically perform the essential duties of the position; Demonstrates a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues, volunteers and all client service community/public members; Must have a satisfactory performance record; Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy; Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff, patient and environmental safety and participation in regular in-service in this area;
