About the role
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for repairing and providing preventive maintenance.
- Technical support and decision-making during breakdown situations.
- Troubleshooting Control Circuits.
- Changing Variable Frequency Drive.
- Knowledge of reading wiring diagram both Northern and European.
- In accordance with the local codes and standards, provide electrical services for machinery.
- Program and trouble shoot PLCs as required.
- Monitor and inspect all electrical installation, particularly transformers and switch gears.
- Submit written reports of work required for repairs and upgrades.
- Ensure operator safety and machine integrity by maintaining all electrical wiring and switch gears.
- Install and commission new machinery.
- Set up and tear down processes of equipment.
- Work closely with production supervisors to schedule machine down time for major repairs.
- Strong awareness of health and safety issues; showing responsibility for oneself and others
- Perform other duties as instructed by supervisor.
Requirements
- Electrician ticket and minimum four years of industrial experience and PLC programming certificate/ training, or
- Electrical and or electronic training at college or university level and three years of practical experience in food processing plants.
- Hands on knowledge of packaging machines.
- Must have Red Seal Certified.
- Must have own transportation.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
