About The Project
The Eglinton Crosstown West Extension will bring the Eglinton Crosstown LRT another 9.2 kilometres farther west, creating a continuous rapid transit line from the east end of Toronto into Mississauga. The Stations, Rail, and Systems (SRS) package encompasses the design, construction, integration, and commissioning of key project components.
Position Overview
The Architectural Technical Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating and managing architectural design and technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle. This position supports the project team by reviewing drawings, resolving design issues, and ensuring architectural deliverables align with project specifications, schedules, and construction requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate architectural and technical aspects of the project between consultants, engineers, and construction teams. Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, and submittals for compliance with design intent and specifications. Support the project team in resolving design and construction coordination issues. Participate in technical and coordination meetings with design consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams. Track and manage architectural design changes and revisions, ensuring accurate and timely distribution. Assist in the preparation of documentation required for permits, design changes, and as-built drawings. Monitor quality control for architectural components during construction. Provide technical guidance and clarification to the site and project management teams. Ensure that all architectural work complies with applicable building codes, standards, and client requirements.
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or related field. Minimum 5+ years of experience in architectural coordination or technical roles on ICI or infrastructure projects Strong understanding of architectural detailing, building codes, and construction methods. Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, and other design coordination software. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced project environment.
