Position Summary

Kiewit is currently seeking experienced Carpenter Forepersons for the Path2Zero project, located in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.

Requirements

  • This is a working foreperson position
  • Possession of a valid Journeyman (JM) Carpenter Ticket or equivalent hours
  • Valid Fall Protection certification is required
  • Minimum of five years’ experience as a foreman in industrial construction
  • Experience with Peri formwork is considered an asset
  • A clean five-year driver’s abstract is required

Compensation and Shift Details

  • Base wage: $56.80 per hour as per CLAC Collective Agreement
  • ITC Premium: $0.54 per hour on base hours (40 hours per week)
  • Vacation pay: 6% on base hours (40 hours per week)
  • Statutory holiday pay: 3.6% on base hours (40 hours per week)
  • Night shift premium: $3.00 per hour
  • Shifts run Monday to Thursday, 10 hours per day; Friday, 8 hours
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required
  • Ability to work both day and night shifts is necessary

Additional Information

  • Candidates offered a position must successfully complete SureHire Drug, Alcohol, and 50lb Fitness to Work tests
  • No travel and living-out expenses provided

The Path2Zero project is a major clean energy initiative supporting the decarbonization of industrial operations in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Upon its completion in 2028, the facility will be Canada’s largest clean hydrogen production site and among the largest globally.
