Notes About How Demanding This Position Can Be

This positions requires a high percentage of travel, most weeks it will be traveling out of town for 5 days a week. We provide hoteling and per diem pay in addition to the hourly rate. This is a 100% field position and is physically demanding daily, often times requiring lifting 75 pounds frequently throughout the day. Hours for this role will often be 10 hours days, we do pay overtime at 1.5 of the hourly rate for everything over 40 hours in a week.

Responsibilities

Collect and analyze rock, soil, and water samples Process and interpret geological data Prepare reports and presentations on findings and recommendations Assist in the design and implementation of geological projects Collaborate with other geologists, engineers, and scientists on multidisciplinary projects

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field Strong knowledge of geological principles and processes Mechanical knowledge for building and operating field equipment Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
