If you are interested in applying broad Mechanical Engineering principles in the structural design, analysis and certification of jet engines rotating components. The team works in a dynamic environment and collaborates with a wide network of specialists. Our responsibilities extend across the lifecycle of the product: from preliminary and detailed design, through validation & verification, certification, and all the way to field engine support. This position is full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours in Mississauga, and is exclusively on-site. What will your day-to-day look like? Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPT) Utilize state-of-the-art analytical tools/methods to validate the structural integrity and durability of Compressor Rotating hardware Build 2D/3D thermal and structural finite element models of compressor rotors Use in-house and commercial software to perform various analyses such as: Fatigue analysis (LCF / HCF) Fracture mechanics Impact analysis – ice, bird Rotor burst assessment R&D to support the next generation of technologies and methods Quality note disposition and Engineering source approvals Support Production and Field operations What do you need to be successful? Understanding of Mechanical Engineering Analytical and problem solving skills Knowledgeable in Finite Element Analysis Organizational, communication and presentation skills Interested in and capable of sharing knowledge Being innovative Autonomous and interpersonal skills What do we offer? The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
