About the Role
Join Edmonton?s largest framing company as a Journeyman HVAC Technician, supporting our growing Mechanical division on new residential construction projects. In this hands-on role, you will play a key part in meeting production schedules while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. You will work alongside apprentices and other trades to deliver safe, efficient, and on-time homes across Edmonton and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete residential HVAC installations in accordance with drawings, instructions, production schedules, and prescribed quality standards.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable building codes and company procedures.
- Perform HVAC service work as required, including maintenance on heat pump systems.
- Install and service high-velocity HVAC systems.
- Maintain a high standard of safety and cleanliness on all job sites.
- Identify and correct deficiencies to minimize rework and callbacks.
- Guide and support apprentices through day-to-day mentorship and promotion of proper workmanship.
- Communicate proactively with the HVAC Manager regarding production, quality, or scheduling issues.
- Ensure required materials and tools are available prior to and during installations.
Requirements
- Alberta Journeyman HVAC Certification (Sheet Metal Worker or Air Conditioning ticket).
- Solid knowledge of residential HVAC systems and the Alberta Building Code.
- Experience with residential HVAC installations, service work, and heat pump systems.
- Gasfitter Class B Certification is considered an asset (not required).
- Strong technical skills with attention to detail and workmanship quality.
- Blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
- Valid Class 5 Driver?s License with a clean driver?s abstract.
- Must supply basic hand tools.
Working Conditions
- Physically demanding work in residential construction environments.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent use of hand and power tools.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and construction hazards.
