Underground Mine Surveyor – 2026-025 Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran (TSX:ELD) is seeking a Underground Mine Surveyor to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working on a 14/14 rotation.

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran is advancing the McIlvenna Bay project, a cornerstone asset and one of the most significant copper development projects in Canada. With commercial production expected in mid-2026, this world-class deposit contains copper, zinc, gold, and silver – key metals for the global transition to green energy. The Underground Mine Surveyor coordinates and executes daily underground survey tasks and associated activities. This role is critical in ensuring that mining designs are implemented in accordance with established guidelines. Furthermore, the Mine Surveyor is tasked with adhering to the survey quality plan, maintaining appropriate survey control, and ensuring data integrity is preserved in a timely and efficient manner.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that surveying services are provided to the mining operation in a timely fashion.
  • Liaise with Shift Supervisors, Mine Foreman and other Technical Services team members to prioritize survey requirements.
  • Ensure all surveying hardware/software is maintained to a standard that will enable work to be carried out accurately and efficiently.
  • Complete daily survey pickups, provide line and grade control for development crews, produce driving layouts, maintain as-built drawings, 
  • Complete month-end development and production reports.
  • Complete drone scans of underground excavations to update as-built models and for reconciliation purposes.
  • Conduct survey data analysis and maintain the integrity of data of all files in the survey database
  • Survey mark-ups for stoping, development mining, and other miscellaneous mining or drilling works (including the creation of and issuing of survey memos/layouts for operators).
  • Survey pick-ups of all mine development and fixed infrastructure, including voids pick up of stopes. 
  • Consistently carry out all work in a professional manner and in line with the Foran Values.  

Job Qualifications and Skills:

  • A College Diploma in geomatics or land survey technology, mining technology, or survey engineering or equivalent experience. 
  • Field surveying with 2 to 4 years of experience in an underground mining environment is considered an asset.
  • Proficient with Trimble global Station and GPS equipment or equivalent and (Deswik) software or equivalent is considered an asset
  • Proficient with CMS Scanners.
  • Drone experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.

Compensation and Benefits: 

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $90,000/year based on experience and qualifications. Annual discretionary short term incentive award at a percentage of base salary, rewarding exceptional contributions to team and company success.
