Role Description Bridgeman and Crane Operators at Pacific Marine Construction LTD perform full-time, on-site work based in Campbell River, BC. Daily responsibilities include operating cranes and associated lifting equipment to move materials, components, and structures safely on marine construction sites. The role involves assisting with bridge and marine infrastructure construction, loading and unloading barges, and supporting pile driving and installation operations. Team members inspect equipment before use, follow lifting plans and safety procedures, and coordinate with supervisors and crew to ensure efficient and secure operations. The position also requires maintaining equipment, documenting activities, and adhering to all company and regulatory safety standards. Qualifications Candidates should possess experience in Lifting Operations and safe material handling practices. Candidates should possess skills in operating Heavy Equipment related to marine and construction environments. Candidates should possess knowledge of Lifting Equipment and proper use of rigging and attachments. Candidates should possess the ability to operate Cranes in accordance with industry and safety standards. Candidates should possess experience in Inspection of lifting gear, cranes, and related equipment for safe operation. Relevant crane operator certification and/or trade qualification is required. Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations, including marine and construction safety practices. Ability to work in outdoor, marine environments, including varying weather conditions and physical tasks. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse crew. Previous experience in marine construction or bridge work is an asset.
