We are looking for a highly motivated student to join our tax team as a seasonal tax intern from September-December 2026. The seasonal tax intern will report to the Senior Tax Manager, and support the team in multiple functions including: Assists with Canadian tax filings such as corporate/excise tax returns Assist with the preparation of responses to tax authority’s inquiries Assist with pre-tax season preparation including financial information gathering and review, tax compliance list preparation, coordination with internal and external stakeholders etc. Assist with post-tax season and/or ad hoc projects Participate in technology‑improvement initiatives such as: Identifying manual processes suitable for automation Developing tools for the collection of information that are necessary for tax analyses Creating templates, dashboards, or macros to support tax operations Supporting the enhancement of existing systems Requirements The following are your keys to success in this role: Experience with building databases, data manipulation, and computer programming Familiarity with data tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, or basic scripting Extensive experience in Microsoft Office Suite You have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks You have the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines You are a team player, and have solid verbal and written communication skills You have a collaborative mindset and positive attitude Familiarity with tax return preparation would be an asset You have an interest in technology, automation, and process improvement within a tax environment would be an asset What experience will you gain? We hope you will be able to build the following skills in your career journey: Apply your technological skills to drive efficiency and improvement in a tax department Understand how tax group operates and experience different areas of tax group Build tax compliance and research skills The base salary range for this position is CAD $45,000 to $65,000. The placement within the range is determined by the role and assessment of the candidate’s year of study and relevant work experience.
