Working closely with other members of the maintenance team in Milton, the 310J Mechanic plays a key role in ensuring our fleet remains in excellent working condition. This will involve ongoing maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of company trailers and equipment. This role requires a collaborative problem solver, someone who takes pride in their workmanship, and leads by example.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect trailer mechanisms, ensuring that the trailer is safe and reliable for operation
• Complete basic exterior trailer body repairs
• Perform metal working, cutting, and welding on landing gear, cross member replacements, slider and suspension, and rear end protection repairs
• Complete air brake and suspension repairs
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical system deficiencies
• Follow and promote Safety Guidelines, SOPs, and best practices
• Provide accurate and clear work orders

Qualifications & Competencies:

• An energetic and positive personality
• A strong commitment to safety and continuous learning
• A high attention to detail and a collaborative approach to problem solving
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and other transport trailer systems and related components
• 2 years of relevant experience is preferred

Hours/ Position Type:

Monday- Friday, 8:00 am- 4:30 pm OR 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
