Top Benefits
About the role
Are you a driven electrical leader with a track record of executing high-quality builds? We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Foreman to head our field operations for upcoming multifamily residential projects in Calgary and the surrounding area.
In this role, you will be the driving force on-site—managing daily operations, supervising a dedicated crew of journeymen and apprentices, and ensuring wood-frame and concrete builds are completed safely, on schedule, and strictly up to code.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, schedule, and mentor a field crew of 5–15 electricians and apprentices, fostering a productive and positive work environment.
- Collaborate closely with General Contractors and other sub-trades (framing, mechanical, etc.) to ensure seamless workflow and maintain project timelines.
- Accurately read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams, ensuring all installations strictly adhere to the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
- Oversee material take-offs and tool inventories. Execute precise layouts for suites, common areas, and service rooms.
- Champion company safety policies, conduct daily hazard assessments, and lead weekly toolbox meetings to maintain a zero-incident culture.
Qualifications
- Valid Alberta Journeyman Electrician Certificate (Interprovincial Red Seal is highly preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years acting as a Foreman or Lead Hand specifically on large-scale multifamily residential or light commercial projects.
- Deep, practical knowledge of wood-frame (ROMEX) and concrete (conduit/MC cable) installation methods.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean commercial driving abstract.
- Strong communication, team-building, and digital reporting skills (for daily logs and time tracking).
What We Offer
- A base salary starting at $100,000+, tailored to your experience and leadership track record.
- Company service vehicle or a competitive vehicle allowance, paired with a company gas card.
- Up-to-date company phone/tablet and all required PPE provided.
- Long-term, permanent employment backed by a robust, multi-year project pipeline in Calgary.
- A supportive management team that respects on-site leadership, listens to your input, and fiercely prioritizes safety.
