We are looking for a technician who can diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment in a shop environment while supporting the overall efficiency of the branch. What You’ll Do Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy equipment in the shop Perform preventive maintenance and inspections Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic software Complete repairs accurately and efficiently Document work performed, parts used, and service reports Communicate repair findings and recommendations to service management Work closely with parts and service staff to support efficient turnaround Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Help around the yard as needed, including moving or positioning equipment safely Support overall shop workflow and assist with related duties as required What We’re Looking For High school diploma or GED required; technical training is an asset 3+ years of experience servicing heavy equipment, construction, agricultural, or industrial equipment preferred Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and powertrains Experience with diagnostic tools and service software Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record Preferred Skills & Experience OEM training or certifications Welding and fabrication experience Experience with Tier 4 emissions systems Familiarity with Bobcat equipment or similar machinery Previous dealership or shop service experience Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand, kneel, bend, climb, and work around heavy machinery Ability to safely perform physical service work in a shop and yard environment Compensation & Benefits $35–$42 per hour, based on experience Benefits package RRSP matching Paid time off and holidays Ongoing training and career development Our Core Values At Bobcat of Grey Bruce, our values guide how we work every day: WORK SAFE—ALWAYS OWN IT—TOGETHER RESPECT OVER EGO RAISE THE STANDARD WE DO WHAT WE SAY
