Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Journeyperson)

Taber, AB · Full-Time · On-Site

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

Pay: $40-$46 in shop (based on experience)

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm

  • Saturdays rarely

  • Rotating on-call schedule every 7-8 weeks

Your Role

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks of all makes and models

  • Perform inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance

  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction

What We're Looking For

Certifications:

  • Journey-person Inter-provincial Heavy Equipment Technician preferred

  • Journey-person Trailer Technicians and Journeyman Automotive Technicians will also be considered

Assets:

  • Class 3 License with Q endorsement

  • Commercial Vehicle Inspections License

  • Experience diagnosing and repairing International trucks

Qualities:

  • Motivated and dependable with a strong work ethic

  • Positive attitude and team-first mindset

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of heavy-duty mechanical experience
  • Ability to relocate or reliably commute to Taber, AB
