Job Responsibilities: Massiv Die-Form, a division of Magna International, designs and builds medium to large cast automotive and hot stamping dies. Hourly Rate: $32.53 - $42.61 Vacancy Status: Immediate Open Position DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible to carry out duties for Health, Safety, and Environment in accordance with the HS&E Agreement for Employees - Addendum Maintain high quality MIG/TIC/ARC welding of all tool and cast steels to avoid porosity. Carry out flame hardening, hardness testing of steels and flame cutting. Responsible for applicable QEMS policies, procedures and work instructions Induction hardening. Perform other reasonable duties as assigned. WORKING CONDITIONS: Rotating shift work and overtime required. SPECIFICATIONS AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Recognized Certificate of Qualification as Welder. Minimum of 3-5 years previous experience. Familiarity with welding various casting and tool steels (e.g., GM 190, 246, 245, G2500 cast iron, G3500, D2). Experience using a range of weld wires and filler materials (e.g., MPD6510, EXP10, G2, G4, G6510). Good communication skills, attendance and performance required. Previous tooling/machine shop experience an asset. Must be able to work independently. Orientation, WHMIS, Tool & Die Welding, Compressed Gasses, Fire Extinguisher Training, Crane Training, 5S, CI Suggestion Program, ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 training as prescribed by QEMS (see matrixes), Employee Health & Safety Awareness.
