Role Description This full-time PhD Student role is an on-site position located in Trois-Rivières, QC. The PhD Student will conduct original research under the supervision of a faculty advisor, including designing studies, collecting and analyzing data, and contributing to scholarly publications. Daily activities include performing literature reviews, participating in seminars and research group meetings, and preparing conference presentations and manuscripts. The role also involves mentoring junior students, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams within the university. The PhD Student is expected to progress toward degree milestones, maintain high academic standards, and actively engage in the intellectual life of UQTR. Qualifications Strong research abilities, including literature review, research design, data collection, and analysis. Excellent academic writing, critical thinking, and communication skills for publications and presentations. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams and research groups. Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects and meet academic deadlines. Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and eligibility for admission to a PhD program at UQTR. Interest in innovative, cross-disciplinary research aligned with UQTR’s distinctive academic fields. Proficiency in English and/or French; willingness to engage in a bilingual academic environment.
