The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of daily operations across the workshop, warehouse, and technical support functions. This includes planning and prioritizing work, tracking work orders, and ensuring the effective execution of activities to meet safety, quality, and delivery objectives.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Supervise daily operations in the workshop, warehouse, and shipping/receiving.
- Plan work activities, manage priorities, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Mobilize, coach, and develop team members.
- Ensure quality standards and compliance with health & safety requirements.
- Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful execution of work orders.
- Optimize the use of labour, materials, and equipment.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor operational performance and contribute to achieving quality, productivity, and profitability targets.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial or operational environment.
- Experience in supervision or team leadership.
- Technical training in mechanical, industrial maintenance, logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.
- English communication skills considered an asset.
- Strong focus on quality, health & safety, and customer service.
- Proficiency with computer tools and operational management systems (ERP), an asset.
- Knowledge of industrial equipment such as pumps, valves, or instrumentation, an asset.
