Role Overview This role serves as the critical bridge between digital design and physical manufacturing. As the Pre-press Print Co-ordinator, your core mission is to transform digital client artwork into flawless physical products on the production floor. In your first 6-12 months, you will master the sublimation workflow, toggle seamlessly between complex file preparation and operating heavy machinery, and play a direct role in ensuring high-profile orders are manufactured accurately and on time.
Main Responsibilities Finalize and engineer print-ready artwork for digital output, taking full ownership of CMYK color management and technical file setups. Operate and continuously monitor high-end industrial sublimation printers to ensure maximum quality and efficiency. Navigate a highly active shop floor, spending roughly 50% of your day on your feet transitioning between your design workstation and the machines. Load and unload heavy rolls of fabric and paper utilizing roll stackers, ensuring the printers are consistently fed. Collaborate seamlessly within a tight-knit digital room team of 2-5 people to hit aggressive rush-order deadlines. Take ownership of daily deliverables with a self-starter mentality, reliably managing your workflow and ensuring time-sensitive jobs are completed before clocking out.
Must-have required skills and experience Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and strong working knowledge of the broader Adobe Creative Suite. Demonstrated, hands-on production experience in a fast-paced print environment—this is a highly active manufacturing role, not a standard desk-bound graphic design job. Deep expertise in prepress artwork creation, advanced color sense, and CMYK technicalities. Physical capability and willingness to consistently lift and maneuver heavy fabric rolls on the shop floor. A mature, accountable work ethic; we are looking for a reliable team player who does not require babysitting or micromanagement. Reliable personal transportation to the facility.
Nice-to-have skills Direct hands-on experience with Dye Sublimation and Heat Transfer printing processes. Previous experience operating high-end, premium industrial printers (specifically the MS JP4, HP S1000 Stitch, or Durst P5).
Other important info (Logistics & Compensation) Location/Work Mode: 100% Onsite in Mississauga, ON. Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent. Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 per year base salary, plus time-and-a-half pay for rare weekend overtime shifts, and potential for discretionary performance bonuses during peak seasons. Benefits/Perks: A fully employer-paid $2,000 flexible health and wellness account (usable for everything from registered massages to kids' sports fees), full medical and dental benefits, 2 weeks of paid vacation, casual dress, and free on-site parking. (Note: Expected schedule is a standard Monday to Friday daytime shift, approximately 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM).
