About the role
<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>Under general direction, the Die Cutter / Finishing Operator works closely with the Production Coordinator to process plastic and related materials according to work orders and specifications. This role is responsible for operating clamshell die cutters, guillotines, and lamination equipment to fabricate and finish parts. The position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to process documentation, and a commitment to safety and quality to ensure consistent, accurate production.</p><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>Responsibilities</strong></b></p><ul><li>Understand and follow all safety regulations and company procedures.</li><li>Operate clamshell die cutting presses to cut plastic, metals, and other substrates according to specifications.</li><li>Set up dies, perform make-ready, and ensure proper alignment and registration before production runs.</li><li>Operate guillotines to cut sheets and materials to required dimensions.</li><li>Perform lamination processes, including applying adhesive rolls to various substrates with accuracy and consistency.</li><li>Set up, adjust, and monitor equipment during production to maintain quality and efficiency.</li><li>Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and compliance with work orders and specifications.</li><li>Record production results and maintain accurate documentation.</li><li>Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, blade changes, and basic troubleshooting of equipment.</li><li>Ensure proper handling and disposal of scrap material and waste.</li><li>Wear required personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves, etc.).</li><li>Communicate effectively with team members and the Production Coordinator to maintain workflow and resolve issues.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>Minimum Qualifications / Skills</strong></b></p><ul><li>1-3 years of experience operating die cutter, guillotine, or lamination equipment preferred.</li><li>Experience with clamshell die cutters and adhesive lamination processes is a strong asset.</li><li>Ability to set up dies and perform basic equipment adjustments.</li><li>Familiarity with plastic, metals, or similar materials preferred.</li><li>Ability to read and follow work instructions, production drawings, and specifications.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.</li><li>Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs as required.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a production environment.</li></ul></div>Company Description<div>Stanley Manufacturing Company Inc. is a specialty printing company that manufactures nameplates, instrument panels, overlays, vinyl graphics, signage, POS graphics and more.
