Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks. Measure distance, volume, length and weight. Operate computer controlled equipment. Understand the purpose, proper usgage and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS). Complete onboard and other logs. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment. Prepare accident reports. Secure special attachments to equipment. Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment. Perform minor repairs to equipment. Operate hydraulic pumping systems. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Type of heavy equipment operated: Backhoe excavator, loader. Caterpillar (CAT) controls. Bulldozer, large or small. Cable shovel, large or small. Loader. Asphalt spreader. Pulverizing, stabilizing machine. Compactor. Paver. Roller. Gravel or dump truck. Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts. Bobcats. Type of industry experience: Road construction. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel. Willing to travel regularly. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail.
