What you will do: We are seeking a Senior CFD & Thermal Engineer to develop and apply advanced numerical models and methodologies for fluid and thermal systems. This role focuses on engineering depth and design impact, including pump performance, cavitation behavior, and motor cooling optimization. The successful candidate will support both R&D and product development through physics-based modeling, thermal design, and optimization.
Develop and own CFD and thermal models for pumps, fluid systems, electric motors, and thermal management components Lead pump design and hydraulic optimization, including flow path and performance improvement Analyze cavitation, multiphase flow, turbulence, and flow-induced thermal effects Perform thermal simulations and optimization for electric motors, power electronics, and embedded systems (PCB cooling) Define and standardize modeling methodologies, validation approaches, and best practices Apply multi-objective optimization (MOO) to drive performance trade-offs and design decisions Contribute to digital twin and system-level modeling approaches for product development Build robust and reusable workflows for parametric studies and design optimization Provide engineering recommendations to support product development decisions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate modeling into development processes
What you will bring: Master’s or PhD in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering field 5-7 years of industry experience in CFD and thermal modeling Strong expertise in fluid dynamics and heat transfer Experience with rotating machinery (pumps preferred) and electronics cooling Expertise in cavitation and multiphase flow Experience in motor and power electronics cooling, or thermal management systems Proven ability to develop numerical models and methodologies Experience supporting engineering design and optimization in product environments Experience with pump and turbomachinery design/optimization Exposure to system-level modeling (e.g., GT-Suite, Simulink) Experience with automation and parametric workflows (Python or scripting) Familiarity with digital twin approaches and advanced optimization frameworks
Additional Information: • Compensation: $120,000 to $140,000 annually • Recruitment Technology:
