About the role
About Us Car Inspected Inc. is a federally trademarked Canadian mobile pre-purchase vehicle inspection company, in business since 2009 with over 10,000 inspections completed. We are 100% independent — not affiliated with any garage, dealership, or repair shop. We come to the vehicle's location and deliver a full inspection report on the spot. We operate in Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto and are growing nationally. The Role We are looking for a self-employed contractor inspector to serve the Montreal and Greater Montreal area on a flexible, per-inspection basis. You set your own schedule. You will meet buyers or sellers at the vehicle's location, conduct a thorough inspection, and deliver a detailed report through our mobile app.

What We're Looking For Fluently bilingual — French and English (written and spoken) — this is non-negotiable for Montreal operations Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicles (cars, trucks, SUVs, luxury, and classics) Formal background in mechanics, automotive technology, an asset (may reassess if experience is strong) Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle Clean Driving Record (will need to provide proof) Professional demeanor — you represent the Car Inspected brand directly to clients Comfortable using a mobile app to complete and submit inspection reports Must be available on weekdays; weekend availability is a plus. Must be legally authorized to work In Canada. and must be legally Authorized to work as a self-employed contractor in Canada
Ideal Candidate You are a mechanic, automotive technician, mechanical engineer, or experienced car enthusiast who knows vehicles inside and out, communicates clearly in both official languages, and takes pride in delivering honest, thorough assessments. You prefer the flexibility of contract work over a fixed shop schedule.
