We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembler - Systems to support the production of high-quality electrical and electronic assemblies. In this role, you will assemble panels, frames, subassemblies, and electronic components while following work instructions, drawings, and quality standards. Responsibilities include wiring, soldering, mechanical assembly, electrical testing, functional verification, inventory support, kitting, packaging, and maintaining production records. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, capable of performing repetitive tasks with accuracy, and committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. This position may require shift work, overtime, and flexibility to support varying production demands.
Who you report to: Production Manager
What The Job Is All About:
Assembles panels, frames, solders electronic components, and subassemblies. Positions and mounts units according to instructions, regarding duties to be performed. Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed. Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device. Crimps, screws, bolts, rivets, press fits, tweaks pots, sanding, solder leads and components, cleaning or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place. Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points. Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in panels. Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, knobs, switches, clamps, bumpers, clips, fasteners, nuts, washers, labels to assemblies. Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as cleaning, sanding, packaging etc. Functional & electrical tests of assemblies and panels. Performs assembly tasks like kitting, tag defective parts and transfer to holding area for evaluation and repair. May work in a variety of positions in a progressive assembly. Takes periodic inventory of stock and assembly and keeps accurate records. Shift work or overtime may be required. Works closely and shares information with the direct team, is a great team player.
Who You Are:
Have a High School Diploma. Able to work independently or as part of a team. Capable of following procedures and working logically. Strong aptitude for learning. Good organizational skills. 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset. Mechanical and Electrical assembly experience an asset. Fine soldering skills and previous experience soldering electronic components is an asset.
Bonus Points If You Have The Following:
Mechanical & computer aptitude. Able to lift 50 lbs. and work in a manufacturing setting, with moderate noise.
Salary Information:
The pay range for this role in Canada is: $46,250 - $51,000 CAD
The listed salary reflects the pay range for a role based in Canada. Compensation may differ based on alternate locations if listed. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, knowledge, and role-specific qualifications, and may be adjusted to recognize candidates accordingly.
