Avilion Metalcraft is a small, locally owned company specializing in high-end stainless steel, aluminum, and glass railing systems. We take pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship, and we?re looking for a motivated Shop Helper / Installer to join our team for a part-time temporary position, with the potential to grow into a permanent position.

This is a hands-on role with variety, splitting time between shop work and on-site installations. It?s a great opportunity for someone who wants to build skills in a trade, work with quality materials, and grow within a hardworking crew.

What You?ll Do:

Assist with the installation of railing systems, stair stringers, handrails, and overhead glass canopies (working at heights required)

Read and interpret schematics or drawings to ensure accurate, high-quality work

Support shop operations: cutting, prepping, grinding, sanding, and tack welding

Handle glass and metal materials (lifting up to 70 lbs)

Contribute to vehicle maintenance and general shop upkeep

Work collaboratively with the team to solve challenges and deliver precise, professional results

What We?re Looking For:

Experience in construction, carpentry, welding, or mechanical trades (preferred, but willing to train the right person)

Proficiency with hand and power tools

Ability to read shop drawings (asset)

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality

Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working at heights

Valid driver?s license (required)

Reliability, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn are musts

Wage:

Applicants with little to no railing installation experience can expect to start closer to the lower end of the wage range, while those with relevant experience may qualify for the higher end.

Monday?Thursday: 7:30 am ? 5:00 pm

Friday: 7:30 am ? 11:30 am

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
