R.W. Tomlinson is looking for an individual to fill a Portable Crushing Plant Operator position in the Materials Group.

Location: Various locations in the Ottawa area extending down the 401 corridors.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and operate the crushing plant.

• Maintain maximum plant output.

• Perform daily plant checks.

• Recording production and downtime.

• Recording preformed, and required maintenance.

• Clean around the plant using a skid steer and hand shovel when needed.

• Ensure good housekeeping including keeping the tool trailer and MCC buildings clean, organized and free of tripping hazards.

• Make note of any defective safety equipment around the crushing plant and make sure it is tagged and discarded appropriately.

• Check daily that guarding is in place.

• Operate loader and rock truck when required.

• Remain focused and diligent of plant operations.

• Complete miscellaneous jobs assigned by the Quarry Foreman.

REQUIREMENTS

• Availability to work flexible hours which may include working evenings, nights, and weekends.

• Willing to work at other sites when required, and out of the Ottawa area for prolonged periods.

• Heavy equipment experience.

• Ability to use power and hand tools.

• Mechanically inclined.
