Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd. ("BGM"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Osisko Development Corp. ("ODV"), is seeking a highly motivated individual to be part of its Cariboo Gold Project as a Modelling Geologist in Wells, BC. One of our core values is building and maintaining relationships that are based on reciprocity to ensure mutual benefits for all stakeholders and a legacy for future generations.This position will be a hybrid position, with some time spent at the project in Wells, BC and will follow five [5] days on and two [2] days off work rotation.Reporting to the Resource Geologist, Modelling Geologist is responsible for conducting 3D geological interpretation of exploration data. The successful candidates will be given detailed training and instructions on the processes and procedures in place for the development of 3D geological models.
Main Responsibilities · Work with the Resource Geologist to update internal and external resource models in Leapfrog Geo.· Work with the Resource Geologist to update regional and deposit-scale geologic models in Leapfrog Geo.· Work with the GIS and Database team to ensure data are being collected to CIM best practice standards.· Work with the Drill Geologist team to implement improved data collection practices and highlight errors in the database for correction.· Work alongside Exploration Managers and VP Exploration to suggest and plan priority targets for drilling based on your knowledge of the resource models. Skills and Abilities Required · Strong organizational and time management skills.· In depth understanding of the structural and geological controls of the Osisko Development Cariboo Gold Project.· Strong attention to detail.· Ability to direct and complete tasks independently. Qualifications · Previous core logging experience (1+ years).· Proficient in Leapfrog Geo software.
