About the role
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery. Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools. Clean and maintain work space. Operate computer controlled equipment. Create pattern size variations from master patterns using computer or drafting instruments. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Forklift Operator Certification. Overhead Crane Certification. Type of cranes: Overhead crane. Equipment: Form cutting machines. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
