About the role
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Noisy. Odours. Dusty. Tasks: Operate machines or equipment or use hand tools to cut, shape, splice and fit plastic materials to form parts and assemblies. Assemble composite materials on patterns to form parts and assemblies. Inspect manufactured plastic products for defects and conformance to specifications and quality standards. Mark and re-route defective products for repair or recycle. Make minor adjustments or repairs to products. Install trims, rudders, seats, engine mounts and other accessories. Assemble prefabricated parts and sections of fibreglass, metal or other materials to form boats. Security and safety: Bondable. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Fast-paced environment. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Reliability. Team player. Experience: 1 to less than 7 months. Support for newcomers and refugees: Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.) . Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
