Position Overview:
We’re currently hiring dependable and hardworking Material Handlers/Crane Operators to support our busy recycling facility. If you're hands-on, enjoy staying active, and want a role where your contributions really matter, this could be the perfect fit.
The wage range for this position is $27.00-$32.00/hour depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate excavator based material handlers with a free swinging grapple safely and efficiently.
- Sort, process and load up ferrous and non-ferrous materials into balers/trucks and bays.
- Prioritize safety and follow all on-site protocols and procedures
- Perform daily equipment checks and report maintenance issues promptly
- Work closely with crew members to keep projects on track
- Adapt to and keep pace with ever changing
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience on heavy equipment is required
- Experience operating a Crane/Material Handler equipment is required
- A safety-first mindset and solid mechanical awareness
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic understanding of ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Reliable transportation to our yard (not accessible by public transit)
