About the role
We are a growing general contractor based in the GTA delivering commercial, institutional, and industrial construction projects across Ontario. We are seeking a skilled mid-level Estimator with COR (Certificate of Recognition) experience to join our pre-construction team. You will lead the preparation of competitive, accurate bids and work closely with our project management and site teams from tender through contract award.

What you'll do
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and bid packages for commercial and ICI projects ($1M?$20M range)
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes; scope review and levelling
- Conduct site visits and review drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Collaborate with project managers on budget development and value engineering
- Maintain and update unit cost databases and historical project data
- Support COR compliance requirements within the estimating process, including safety cost planning
- Track bid outcomes and refine estimating accuracy over time
What you bring
- 5?10 years of estimating experience with a general contractor in Ontario
- Working knowledge of COR (Certificate of Recognition) health and safety standards
- Proficiency in estimating software (Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Procore, or similar)
- Strong reading and interpretation of construction drawings and specifications
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and subcontractor trades
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
- Valid G driver's licence and ability to travel to GTA project sites
Nice to have
- Gold Seal Certification or Gold Seal Estimating designation
- Experience with CCDC contracts and public sector tendering (MTO, Infrastructure Ontario)
- Familiarity with WSIB, MOL regulations, and Ontario Building Code
Pay: $51,914.31-$95,000.00 per year
