Role Description This full-time Structural Engineer role at Solution bâti+ is an on-site position based in Montreal, QC. The Structural Engineer is responsible for performing structural analysis and design for building and infrastructure projects, preparing calculation packages, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. Daily tasks include developing and reviewing structural drawings and models using CAD tools, coordinating with civil engineers, architects, and other stakeholders, and providing technical input throughout the project lifecycle. The role also involves conducting site visits as needed, preparing technical reports, supporting project planning and timelines, and contributing to quality assurance and safety practices. Qualifications Strong foundation in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to building and infrastructure projects. Proficiency in Structural Analysis and detailed engineering calculations to validate design integrity and compliance with codes. Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating, reviewing, and updating structural drawings and models. Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and construction practices in Quebec and Canada. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and preparing clear technical documentation. Eligibility to practice engineering in Quebec (OIQ membership or ability to obtain it) is an asset.
