Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the QA Associate will ensure the GMP compliance of the facility and Quality Management System.

SHIFT

8:30am - 4:30am

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Update procedures that assure compliance with quality standards based on the interpretation of Canadian regulations/guidelines/ standards and customer requirements.
• Perform Inbound, Returns and Assembly/Packaging Inspections
• Provide Line-clearance for Labelling and Packaging projects
• Perform product inspection & release based on customer requirements
• Support Client Audits / third party regulatory body audits (e.g., Notified Body, Health Canada)
• Participate in project meetings and CAPA/NCR/complaints reviews representing quality, as assigned.
• Act as back up to other site Quality Specialist
• Actively participate in continuous improvement activities, corrective action planning and customer satisfaction initiatives as assigned.
• Establish and maintain, trend, and report data/metrics for assigned Quality Systems processes
• Support sampling and site retention programs per client / customer instructions on site
• Maintain tracking logs for all required quality systems.
• Observes Quality Policy, Quality Manual and Quality System Procedure requirements.
• Maintain Quality KPIs/Dashboard
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• University/College education in Sciences or related field
• Diploma from a Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs program would be an asset
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
• Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Quality Systems
• Must have strong teamwork and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Be detail oriented with good follow-up skills;
• Willing to travel to other sites within GTA if required
• Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and changing priorities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications- Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Lifting products of 50Ibs+

COMPENSATION

$50,000 - $60,000
