The facility is equipped with 7 hoists and can service vehicles up to 5 tons, supporting a wide range of repair and maintenance needs. The shop specializes in oil services and full mechanical repairs, with a complimentary car wash on qualifying services, and a recently renovated, modern waiting area for customer comfort. As a NAPA AUTOPRO-certified shop, CN Auto Repair backs qualifying repairs with a3-year /60,000 km warranty, combining decades of experience with modern service standards. Role Description The Journeyman Mechanic role is a full-time, on-site position based in Calgary, AB. In this role, the mechanic performs diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including light-duty, heavy-duty, and electric vehicles, in line with manufacturer and shop standards. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting vehicles, conducting preventative maintenance, completing full mechanical repairs, and documenting work orders accurately. The mechanic uses shop tools and equipment safely, collaborates with service advisors and other team members to prioritize work, and communicates clearly with customers when needed. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized workspace, following safety procedures, and supporting the overall efficiency and quality of shop operations. Qualifications in Strong skills in Maintenance & Repair across a variety of vehicles and systems. Experience with Preventive Maintenance, including scheduled inspections and service to reduce downtime and extend vehicle life. Ability to work with Heavy Equipment, including safe operation of hoists and servicing vehicles up to 5 tons. Effective Troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic issues using appropriate tools and software. Valid Journeyperson/Journeyman Automotive Service Technician certification and eligibility to work in Alberta. Proficiency with modern diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and repair information systems. Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and attention to detail, including adherence to shop and regulatory standards. Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment. Previous experience in fleet maintenance or a high-volume repair facility is an asset.
