Brampton, ON Full-Time | Permanent $70,000 - $90,000 + Benefits Lead Food Safety Beyond Compliance We're partnering with a growing food ingredient manufacturer supplying customers across North America. This is not a traditional quality assurance role. We're seeking a Food Safety Culture & Compliance Specialist who can combine technical food safety expertise with leadership, training, coaching, and culture development. You'll serve as the facility's internal champion for food safety, driving behavioral engagement, leading audit readiness, administering training programs, and helping create an environment where food safety becomes part of everyday decision-making. Competitive salary of $70,000 - $90,000 High-visibility role with direct impact across the organization Opportunity to lead food safety culture initiatives Cross-functional exposure across Operations, R&D, Quality, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Warehouse Strong focus on training, mentorship, and continuous improvement Stable and growing food manufacturing environment Long-term career growth potential What You'll Be Doing Food Safety Culture Leadership Champion food safety culture initiatives across all departments and shifts Lead behavioral engagement and food safety awareness programs Facilitate mentorship and coaching initiatives that reinforce food safety accountability Conduct culture-focused observations, coaching sessions, and engagement activities Analyze food safety trends, audit findings, and behavioral data to identify improvement opportunities Support leaders in building food safety ownership throughout the facility Food Safety Compliance & Auditing Maintain compliance with BRCGS, GFCP, HACCP, SFCR, FDA, Kosher, and Halal requirements Serve as Lead Internal Auditor and manage audit schedules Coordinate external audit preparation and audit readiness activities Conduct root cause investigations and corrective action follow-up Support environmental monitoring and verification programs Lead Food Safety Team meetings and compliance initiatives Training & Learning Programs Manage and maintain the company's food safety training platform Develop and deliver engaging food safety training programs Update SOPs, compliance materials, and training documentation Create practical learning content that supports knowledge retention and behavioral change Support onboarding and refresher training programs Site Compliance & Continuous Improvement Support supplier and service provider compliance programs Manage food safety documentation and regulatory records Participate in risk assessments and food safety improvement initiatives Provide real-time support to operational teams to reduce food safety risks Support customer and regulatory documentation requests What We're Looking For Required Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related discipline 5+ years of food safety and regulatory compliance experience within food manufacturing Strong knowledge of: BRCGS GFCP HACCP SFCR FDA Kosher Halal Internal auditing experience Experience leading root cause investigations Strong communication and training facilitation skills Ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of an organization Strong Assets Learning Management System (LMS) administration experience Food Safety Culture program experience Behavioral-based training experience Environmental monitoring program experience Regulatory and customer audit leadership experience Ideal Backgrounds Candidates from the following environments are strongly encouraged to apply: Food Manufacturing Ingredients Manufacturing Bakery Dairy Beverage Protein Processing Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) Nutraceutical Manufacturing Who Will Thrive Here?
