About the role
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel. Install roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings. Install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions. Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings. Repair roofing systems. Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level. Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Hand-eye co-ordination. Repetitive tasks. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Employment terms options: Day. Weekend. Health benefits: Dental plan.
